In this episode of the Essential Geopolitics podcast from RANE, Emily Donahue speaks to Adrianio Bosoni, RANE's senior European analyst. The European Commission and the U.K. government have agreed to continue their free trade negotiations for an unspecified period, even if both admit there are still significant disagreements over issues such as Britain’s future alignment with single market rules, the governance of a trade deal and fishing rights. Bosoni says, obstacles to an agreement remain, among them whether sovereignty (UK) or competition (EU) will prevail.
